What iso are you on?
Learn, have fun and enjoy.
But first use the power of the Arch Wiki
use the tutorials on https://www.youtube.com/erikdubois
then use the power of google
and only then use the power of our moderators.

Erik Hello I may be the screen of my notebook that is off with
a script I created from the Arch linux wiki
I have a monitor on only. When I run the script on the terminal the polybar bug totally
this message appears when I try to run

Code: Select all

root @ fd-fd polybar] # ./launch.sh
Error: Monitor "eDP1" not found or disconnected
this is the script that I create to turn off my notebook screen, it is connected to the monitor

Code: Select all

#! / bin / bash
intern = eDP1
extern = HDMI1

if xrandr | grep "$ extern disconnected"; then
     xrandr --output "$ extern" --auto --output "$ intern" --off
else
     xrandr --output "$ intern" --off --output "$ extern" --auto
fi

Why don't you use arandr to get to the line you need?

It will give you a gui or graphical user interface like xrandr in the terminal.

It might be more intuitive.

You can save as ...

In that file will be the line you will need for your setup.

First I would try to make it work with one screen.
Then with two screens.

Erik good afternoon I tried to do with the arandr plus my laptop screen does not shut down at all just with the scrpit with I told you that the main screen is in the notebook and not the monitor which is what I need, including the cover is closed
I did the settings with the tutorial yours on youtube and everything went back to normal
thanks Erik can close the topic
