[SOLVED] error: hyprland-git: signature from is invalid

running my daily pacman updates I ran into this issue.

THE PROBLEM:

"... error: hyprland-git: signature from "Erik Dubois <erik.dubois@gmail.com>" is invalid
:: File /var/cache/pacman/pkg/hyprland-git-0.41.2.r7.b7f42a1e-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst is corrupted (invalid or corrupted package (PGP signature)).
Do you want to delete it? [Y/n]
error: failed to commit transaction (invalid or corrupted package)
Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded.
..."

MY STEPS:

• sudo pacman -S archlinux-keyring

• sudo pacman-key --populate

• sudo pacman -Syu

THE OUTCOME:
Same error. When I check the location of the cache the file is gone. so how can I solve this? In the past, if I remember correctly, the version of several hyprland packages had been replaced (with the information if I want to replace and I said yes), becaue "changes are the only constant in life"

I am also having the same issue. I ran fixkey and that did not solve the issue. I also modified the /etc/pacman.conf to set the default and arco linux SigLevel to be TrustAll, repopulated the key and still got the same issue.

and then fixkey and update

Hello Eric,

thank you very much for the response and the information. I will have to make a seperate subsection of pacman in my documentation.
I just ran the usual sudo pacman -Syu today and it went through without a hitch.
