I'm trying to clean up and remove old boot efi boot entries in the BIOS. I use efibootmgr in the manner described in this article: https://linuxconfig.org/how-to-manage-e ... s-on-linux
Running "efibootmgr" is terminal shows Boot0008* ubuntu, which I then give the instruction "sudo efibootmgr -b 8 -B" to remove. However, upon booting into the BIOS I still see the Ubuntu entry(see image link).

I haven't tried resetting the BIOS, not sure that would work anyway.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Use gparted and clean the disk from any previous installations.
That would be my approach if all of your efforts fail in the end.

I did, it was suggested that I update grub " grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg" but upon reboot the Ubuntu entry persists, in the BIOS.fennec wrote: Sun Jun 11, 2023 9:47 pm That link you have referenced has a comments section, have you reviewed those ?
