It all depends...

there are people out there that make PKGBUILDs

so not us

if you install those you will get packages in they have added to the dependencies.

Most starters in Arch linux do not know this package

kde-applications-meta

Does not sound it has anything to do with games... does it?
But nothing could be further from the truth.

https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/an ... ions-meta/

if you follow the link above you will see it also contains

this package kde-games-meta

https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/an ... ames-meta/

so they get all the games in

There are too many other variables involved. One last question then I'll quit bothering you. I do absolutely NO gaming as I said yet I have had difficulty install arcolinux without games even though I have none of them checked in the installer. They still are installed. ?? Or is there a way to remove all games at once?
That's a whole different issue, like not selecting Vivaldi on install, but it installs anyway.
As for the Nvidia issue, I install Arco with Default and LTS Kernel but boot to the default, with the Intel-related drivers. (I have Nvidia 1080 GPU)

There was one time I somehow installed Nvidia drivers, no problem but every other time, after install, it hangs on bootup.
Searching brings up 20 different methods of installing Nvidia drivers and all of them form just using sudo pacman -S nvidia to modifying Xorg, etc all end up hanging on reboot.

It's very frustrating and maybe somewhere in the Arco-universe, with enough searching I can find a solution but @Erikdubois, you would be a hero if you made a stickie or something for us people who struggle to have a 100% effective way of easily installing Nvidia without problems!! :D

There is not one solution but many solutions as there are many hardware differences.

My knowledge ends if you saw all the tutorials I have made

https://arcolinux.com/nvidia-driver/

https://www.youtube.com/c/ErikDubois/se ... ery=nvidia

More knowledge will/can be found elsewhere for sure.

The Arch wiki should be enough... but can be challenging due the complexity of the topic
