support for the Taranis x9d

Hello, fellow travellers I have an x9d, but it won't recognise it when I plug it into my computer. As a result, I can't use it to run a simulator or update its firmware. The firmware version that I'm trying to update is 2.1.6 at the time I put it in boot loader. When I try to locate the controller in opentx, it claims that it has not been detected. On my primary Windows 10 computer, on a Fedora Linux virtual machine, as well as on a Mac, I have tried to accomplish this. All of them failed to find the x9d.
