[OPEN] Alacritty Spanish Keyboard configuration problem

Post by Monica »

Hi! During the installation process, I selected the Spanish keyboard configuration with no mute keys and I´m having a bit of a problem with the accent or tilde (´). With this configuration I would usually type that key followed by a vowel, and that symbol would appear on top of the letter. In this case, it appears before the letter, as it would in an English keyboard configuration.

When I run localectl status, it returns this:
System Locale: lANG=es_AR.UTF-8
VC Keymap: la-latin1
X11 Layout: latam
X11 Variant: nodeakeys

I read the ArchWiki section on keymaps but I didn´t find that specific issue and I really need that key to work.
Any ideas on how I can fix it?
Thanks!
