[OPEN] python --version doesn't show the newly installed version

Post by bmirkalami@gmail.com »

Hi,

https://linux-hardware.org/?probe=6bd6fd9002

Everything is fine with the installation. I am not very technical coming from Windows and a bit of Ubuntu and Debian.
I have the latest version of ArcoLinux on my laptop.
It came with python 3.9.7.
But I wanted 3.10.0.
So I installed it using yay.
But version check still shows the old version.
What is the best way to switch to the newest version of python?

Many thanks in advance,
Bryan

I missed your post.

I am guessing it is fixed by now.
