[CLOSED] How to disable window controls on some applications

Post by digre »

Hello!

I've been using Arcolinux with BSPWM for about a week and I've been playing with the configs and I love it so far! I have observed it is actually a combination of BSPWM and elements from the Xfce DE if I'm not mistaken.

One issue I have is that some applications (like pamac, Brave browser, etc) still display the window controls (maximize, minimize, close) and I cannot launch the Xfce window manager to hide them.

Any help would be appreciated!

I see no reason why you would want that.

It needs to stay like this. You will delete the whole upper bar and all its funtionality.
Furthermore it looks like to me that the bars are part of the application not a window bar.

I just wanted to follow the tiling window manager aesthetics without window controls, that's all. I saw other people's configs and they had none, but I can live with it. Firefox, for example, doesn't have them on.

Thank you for your help!

In Brave you can right click the top bar and enable "Use the system title bar" or something like that, it hides the controls. I don't think you can do that in Pamac though.
