arcob, awesome, 19.5 up to date.

i5-4690k Nvidia 970.

Trying to run virtualbox. I can run it with nouveau but not nvidia. Here is a picture of the error.

I have tried running the /sbin as sudo, and looked for said driver. Google'd and arch wiki, but not sure how to proceed. Any direction would be great.

Solution: sudo pacman -S linux-headers

I believe it can also be resolved by initially installing with said script, ... master/AUR

Cheers. :D

If you do not add nvidia in the equation everything just installs and works with nouveau. Correct?
That is what I understood.

So it is not a virtualbox issue.

It must be nvidia that is causing this.

Now installing nvidia drivers in a virtualbox is strange because there is not really an nvidia. There is a graphical driver for virtualbox.

VB does not care if you have an AMD or NVIDIA. It is just acting as a pass through.

So do not install nvidia in VB.

Do this on real metal.

For future reference and for future readers.

Use our scripts to install virtualbox on your systems.
You can use the linux-lts or the linux version. ... master/AUR

Standard the linux kernel is installed.
You need to take an action to install the linux-lts kernel.
