[SOLVED] Keybindings in sxhkd

Post by chm0d » Thu Jun 07, 2018 11:07 pm

so I am trying to add a key bind to sxhkdrc. I have added the application to /usr/bin so that its in my environment variable path and it works when I type it in the console but not in sxhkdrc. I have typed this exactly:

super + i
fontawesome-menu -f /home/rich/scripts/rofi-fontawesome/fa-icon-list.txt -o '-i -columns 4'

Now typing this in console works just fine. I know it has to be some syntax issue but I can't find proper documentation for sxhkd that shows what I am trying to accomplish. Any suggestions??

Rich

I created a bash script to include the above command and in sxhkd I put the path to the script and it worked.

Try writing it like this:

Code: Select all

  super + i
      fontawesome-menu -f ~/scripts/rofi-fontawesome/fa-icon-list.txt -o '-i -columns 4'
