[SOLVED]curl: (60) SSL self-signed certificate problem

Post by Vellator » Fri May 03, 2019 8:04 am

Just installed Arco Linux, so awesome. I've been using ArchLabs for awhile, so I'm familiar with basic troubleshooting, but this one got me.
Pamac says there are two updates inxi and archers-lua, trying to update results in the curl error. I tried using yay to update, same result:

Code: Select all

[steve@steve-pc ~]$ yay

I tried to install the cert from curl.haxx.com, cuz I wasn't intersted in disabling the check. That didn't work either. How do I get my certs correct. Any help appreciated.

Do this build now again

Sometimes it is just not your doing but the developers or maintainers.

Code: Select all

yay -S conky-lua-archers
It installs fine now.
Learn, have fun and enjoy.
But first use the power of the Arch Wiki
use the tutorials on https://www.youtube.com/erikdubois
then use the power of google
then use the power of our moderators.

Thank Eric, but same results.

This is a pretty fresh install, I tried to update the certs using

Code: Select all

pacman-key --refresh-keys
in response to this error. The other update it's stuck on is inxi, same error..

Think about firewalls, routers, restrictions, ...

anything like that

So I have an adblocker, Diversion, running on my router, after disabling it the install went perfect. thanks.
Router: ASUS RT-AC86U, asuswrt-merlin. Adblocker:Diversion, Pixelserver, Firewall:Skynet.
Looking at the dnsmaq.log I couldn't see any culprit. Next time.

edit: It turned out that codeload.github.com was being screened, since then it has been hardcoded into the Diversion and Skynet whitelist.
