[CLOSED] Problem with the keyboard

Post by LordCerdito » Wed Jan 10, 2018 5:16 am

Greetings from Mexico. I'm Lord Piglet. I am new to the forum and I write for the following problem.

My keyboard does not work properly with the configuration. Spanish - (LatinAmerican) that include the tildes. Letters (u, i, o, p, j, k, l, ñ, b, n, m) are numbers.
and it works if I press the key Fn + p that way no numbers are left.

my laptop is Acer Aspiere E3112M

I have used other systems, manjaro, linux mint, etc and they all recognize my keyboard.

I do not have any experience with issues with my keyboard.
Everything works here.
Did you check the arch wiki?

I wondered if you selected the right keyboard when installing?
In xfce you can go to the settings CTRL + ALT + M and set the keyboard right.

Yes, I select at the beginning Mexico, keyboard and Mexico time. Keyboard options: Latin American Spanish keyboard, the next option, include dead tilde.

there is a space to verify the keyboard, but when doing that option the keys do not work correctly some letters work as numbers.

There is a tutorial how to install nvidia drivers on archmerge.com ... rest is documented elsewhere like here

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/wine

Closing this topic.
Open a new one about wine if you still need it.
