[SOLVED] Steam with Nvidia driver installed

Post by Eizenstahl » Wed Feb 20, 2019 7:57 pm

Mm. Steam does not want to launch.. and (apparently) there 2 versions (?). Native and Runtime. Nothing happens when I click on the icons.
If I use the nouveau driver it launches, but the framerate I get with that driver is abysmal even in a isometric game like Pillars of Eternity.
I'm sitting with two 32 inch monitors in 2560x1440 on a GTX 970-card.
Ḯve installed nvidia-390xx nvidia-390xx-settings and lib32-nvidia-utils.

Any solution to this? Nouveau-driver is not an option.
