[OPEN] Usb-stick not booting, think graphic problem?

Post by lukass2000 » Sat May 12, 2018 1:11 pm

Have previously installed Ubuntu on my acer laptop an now i would like to install arcolinux,
but I think my graphics card is there a problem.
Ubuntu i could also only install with "nomodeset"
In Ubuntu i could change the GRUB with F6 in the extended mode to set nomodeset.
Have now created a bootable USB-Stick, but if i boot ArcoLinux-Boot does not have any Settings for nomodeset.
Is there any way to set this?

If i boot from the USB-Stick, the startup process runs through until
[OK] Started WPA supplicant.
[****] A start job is running for TLP system startup/shutdown (XXmin XXs / no limits)

I waited 30 minutes here but nothing works anymore :(

I have never had these issues... therefor I have never learned how to solve this.

However - reading this - ... de_setting you can seem to change settings in linux. ... _KMS_start

This file can be found here : ... tcpio.conf

What would happen if you follow this tutorial : ... nges-made/

Then you start tweaking that file and change the settings. Trial and error basis and much more reading.

Then run the script nr 30. Then you get your own tweaked ArcoLinux iso. Can this solution work for you? Let us know.

Or do you need to change something in the grub settings...?

Sounds like an interesting project.
