[OPEN] Create custom live iso from existing installation

Post by mohamed hassan »

Hello

How can I create a live iso from my existing installation ? . I don't want to download my applications again from the internet. I used to use Clonezilla to clone the OS partition and restore it on a new pc but in this case, I face issues with partition size and boot mode (legacy or EFI) when I want to restore the backup on a new pc. There were some tools on ubuntu like Systemback and remastersys that I used before to do that. So, is there a way to create a live iso from my existing installation (arcolinux)?

Thank you

You can not. There are no tools on Arch Linux.

Stick to Debian based systems if that is important for you.

Clonezilla is the best and easiest option if you copy/paste from ssd to ssd.

We rely on clean installs - we build our own iso the way we like it - https://arcolinuxb.com

and sync everything else from cloud services or external harddisk.
Learn, have fun and enjoy.
But first use the power of the Arch Wiki
use the tutorials on https://www.youtube.com/erikdubois
then use the power of google
then use the power of our moderators.
