[SOLVED] typed characters dropped in sudo -s

Hi, After a recent update, I noticed that after typing sudo -s, typed characters aren't always recognized (roughly half, but random). If I type ctl-c, everything seems to work correctly. I have tested in both Alacritty and Termite with the same results. I backed out my updates to July 1, and things start working again. When new updates re-applied, it breaks. I tried backing out sudo to 1.9.1-1 (from 1.9.2-1) and this did not resolve the issue.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

do not do sudo
just do su

Thanks, yes su will accomplish what I need to do with sudo -s (and the issue doesn't appear with su), so this is a viable workaround.

The issue, however, remains.

Why marked solved? A workaround is far from a solution to a potential bug.
