[OPEN] Disable Faulty Radeon HD 6970M/6990M gpu from iMac 2011

Post by iMac2011 »

The discrete graphics card on iMac 2011 is Radeon HD 6970M/6990M.

Unfortunately this has been faulty and crashes when used so I have to use the integrated Intel one.

I have managed to install Arcolinux by adding kernel command nomodeset.

Is there a way, I can permanently disable Radeon gpu and use the working integrated Intel one?
