I installed latest ArcoLinuxB and I noticed that I don't have "Nvidia with linux kernel" checkbox option during installation.
that is visible here at 80sec:

I installed it anyway and I had to install

Code: Select all

pacman -S nvidia
to run Davinci Resolve software so I will have GPU encoding.

Till now it looks ok but did I missed something not installing "Nvidia with linux kernel" ?
Should I install something else?

This is where you go to

https://arcolinux.com/installation/

It will always have the latest "how to install" videos

Nvidia is an option during startup. WYSIWIG - what you see is what you get

So if you do not select anything in Calamares you get the nvidia that is on the iso.

If you do select something in Calamares it will download the latest version from the internet.

I reinstall ArcoLinuxB with Nvidia kernel and drivers also

Code: Select all

pacman -S nvidia
and this time Davinci Resolve doesn't detect GPU:
Unsupported GPU Processing Mode
Please review the GPU drivers and GPU configuration under preferences
and there is no GPU detected but previous there was GPU on the list at Davinci Resolve.

Code: Select all

nvidia -smi
says:
NVIDIA GeForce ... Off | 00000000:01:00.0 Off

Code: Select all

lspci
says
VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation....Kernel driver in use: nvidia
I cannot start Nvidia X Server Setting

What else can I do to properly detect Nvidia?

It wasn't the same installation but it looks like uninstalling optimus manager helped:

Code: Select all

pacman -R optimus-manager
It looks like optimus-manager right after installation blocks nvidia. Switching

Code: Select all

optimus-manager --switch nvidia // to switch to the Nvidia GPU
optimus-manager --switch integrated // to switch to the integrated GPU and power the Nvidia GPU off
optimus-manager --switch hybrid
causing all other errors.

Firstly create your own post and give technical information. A probe link would be a great start.
Secondly do not use nvidia and see if that works.
Then later you can break your system with nvidia drivers that you do not need most of the time anyway unless you are a serious gamer.
