[SOLVED] about stay-rolling on ArcoLinuxB-deepin-min v19.01.4

Post by airbutre » Sat Feb 16, 2019 11:08 am

Hey guys,

i'm doing the stay-rolling tutorial for my ArcoLinuxB-deepin-min v19.01.4 as discribed here:

everything is fine, but i was wondering why my terminal does not show up the new version 19.02. via screenfetch/neofetch
after i have manually edited the etc/lsb-release file to 19.02.4, the terminal shows the correct version (as shown in the video-clip)

i was awaiting, that the system knows what version/release is running.
additionally the deepin-systeminfo displays further the old version 19.01.4

so how can i be sure to have the newest version?

Updating the number in a text file

Code: Select all

/etc/lsb-release
is super unimportant.

Following the video tutorials about each release can help you to know what changed.

Updating is explained in length on the websites

Changing the lsb-release file is here
