[OPEN] Issue with Picom and shadows

I seem to have an issue with picom and shadows with launchers such as Ulauncher & Synapse. In the past with compton I've gone into compton.conf and set shadow exclude options for programs like these with success. However, the same settings don't work for me with picom. I'm using BSPWM and whatever I...

Re: [OPEN] Calamares crash at end of install

Even with a new BIOS revision its likely that this motherboard never would have been reliable under linux so in the long term I may have saved myself some bother by breaking it now! Here is the link if you want to return to solving the problem (it may come in handy). And this . Good luck! Thanks, I...

Re: [OPEN] Calamares crash at end of install

Quick update: I'm thinking that this was an issue with the specific make/type of motherboard. I did do quite a bit of googling around linux and the motherboard model and some people have indeed had issues. However, there seemed to be no real solutions on offer, or if there were I did not find them. ...

Re: [OPEN] Calamares crash at end of install

Installing for x86_64-efi platform. grub-install: error: cannot find a device for /boot/efi (is /dev mounted?). I think your problem is wrong disk partitioning scheme. Reread this ArchWiki post. Where I'm involved there's always scope for some daft mistake, but after I saw the error message I've be...

See if you can install via the standard way - no manual partitioning.
Actually I've only tried the auto settings: have not tried the manual partitioning yet.

Re: [OPEN] Calamares crash at end of install

I was thinking about the bios setting... so your hardware settings Check out https://arcolinux.com and the bios/efi menu. Small glimmer... Could well be a BIOS setting: not that I haven't gone through them all checking a few times. I'd like to "turn off" the UEFI in the bios and go with good old MB...

[OPEN] Calamares crash at end of install

Greetings, It seems I have a small issue. I've created an ArcolinuxB BSPWM iso and I'm trying to install it onto a system with one SSD. I keep getting this one error which halts the installation right at the very end. I've copied the error message below: Boost.Python error in job "bootloader". Comma...
