I have a Dell Latitude E5400 laptop, it has locked bios. To install a new distro I have to install it on another laptop or computer, then take the (SSD) install it in this laptop. The installation of arcolinux works great on the first laptop, but when I mount the ssd in this dell, I get this screen. This happens after grub menu.

This Dell has dual core with 4gb memory, SSD is 64gb in size.

The only distro that will work is xubuntu 18.04, it works great. I would like to be running arcolinux on this laptop. Linuxmint works on this laptop also but I had issues with using wifi.

I can't use a boot usb on this machine.

screen shot is here:

I've tried Arcolinux, Arcolinuxd, Arcolinuxb-xfce and Manjaro-xfce.

I would just buy myself another computer.

I would have a look at UUID in fstab.
