My intro:
Hello all am in the US. I would like to take this time to thank Eric and Team for the many hours and good work they have put into ARCO. Big THANK YOU!!
Until about a month ago I used Mint (a few years) but had never really looked under the hood. You do not play with what you do not understand….
I was out and about one day looking into different Distro-s and found ARCO.

I thought huuum interesting, to date I have used the full ArcoLinux XFCE (3desktops), ArcoLinux Plasma, ArcoLinux-B Plasma, and ArcoLinux-B XFCE. I will try a new B-build today, down the road a D-build, then maybe an Arch from scratch.

My machine is custom I built 9 years ago (I need to build a new one).
CPU… AMD Phenom II X2 550 – 2 cores
Ram 8 Gigs
Motherboard… Gigabyte – GA-MA770-UD3P
Graphics… AMD-ATI Cedar 1920x1080
3 hard drives (nice for this sort of thing)

One drive has Win 7 on it (I hate win 8 and above) I’ll keep it around but, I think Arco-B XFCE will be my Primary OS (am on it now).
I am 62 years of age and currently studying the command line. At 65 years I should know a little bit.
Thank You Eric and Team

Thank you guys!
Am building an ArcoB---> BSPWM Min-V as I type, this is a good bit of fun plus you learn a bit more each time you build one.
I made a few disk and spread them around at my place of work 2 weeks ago. Hope you don't mind, Trying to spark some interest.
I'll keep you updated as I go... This is better then cheery pie with ice cream!

Eric and the team do amazing work! I really like that with Arcolinux there is a learning progression. 8-)

What resources are you using for learning the cli? :?:

Just type this behind your command

command --help

or this before

man command

It is actually all you need and then google.

Hi Julientm, nice to meet you I agree 100 percent.
Eric thank you for the tips I've tried them. Had a small issue when building the ISO for OpenBox yesterday, to solve it I tried to delete
the previous build files, and start clean. I was denied (was logged on as admin -something in there), so OK... opened a terminal changed user to super user, typed (cd /home/hood/ ). I then typed in the rm command ( rm -r ) or maybe it was ( rm -rf ) anyway followed this with the directory name (folder name) and removed the previous build folders. Then built the ISO for Openbox once more, no problems.
Want to point out:
The Arco approach is working (for me anyway) in the past I feared the terminal, in the last few days I have used it more than in the last five years.
Also am being driven to explore the different desktops - how are they different, and what do I like.
thanks to Eric & Team
Eric I went to the donate page and was greeted with a, how much money box on the page that left me unsure as to how much I would be donating.
You might want to tweak the page (box) so a visitor would be sure of what they are doing. I'll check back there in the future.

The donate box is a figure you think it is worth.

Putting a number in there does not seem right.
