[OPEN] KDE Login Screen Settings Don't Change Login Screen

Post by arthura »

Hello everyone! I'm new to ArcoLinux and just installed ArcoLinux -B Plasma on my desktop and laptop. On both, the Login Screen (SSDM) section of the Startup and Shutdown settings menu doesn't affect my login screen. It remains the same login screen as the fresh install, no matter what theme I choose. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, in advance.

We do not use SDDM.

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/SDDM

We use lightdm.

If you want the display manager or login manager as they call it.

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/display_manager

You have to tell the system you want to change the display manager

Code: Select all

sudo systemctl enable -f sddm
then reboot.

Learn, have fun and enjoy.
But first use the power of the Arch Wiki
use the tutorials on https://www.youtube.com/erikdubois
then use the power of google
then use the power of our moderators.
