[OPEN] Switching from lightdm to tty

Post by lilgeek » Tue Jul 30, 2019 2:52 pm

Hello, arcolinuxd awesome by default installs lain themes and some spices including lightdm. So I want to save some boot time and disable lightdm and I did using systemctl but I didn't know what do in tty after logging ! from some google searches 'xsession' and 'startx' and 'xinit' don't work they all kinda give error or start simple UI (white terminal) not even launching awesome.

Is there any thing you can help me with? How to find what runs after the lightdm or how does lightdm starts my session with the autostart shell and everything..

I want to find the script lightdm runs to start everything.. That's the script I want to add to .xinitrc so when I type startx everything opens..

So no one will help me? not even the one who created the distro?

you give a reaction that is not appropriate. Remember that everyone is doing their best here and it is still people who volunteer for this.
With this a warning.

Simplest way is to autologin into your desktop
