[QUESTION] What was your first linux distro, and first Arch(-based)?

Off-Topic Not ArcoLinux - or GNU/Linux-related and NOT a support thread? Talk about it here!

First installed Arch, a few months back. I've tried Manjaro for a few days, but settled on Arco.

First was Knoppix. Then WUBI, then 'buntu, Mint, etc... for a few years.

During the oughts, my main purpose was to learn how to adopt my workflow to FOSS, so I used Gimp, Scribus, Inkscape, Open Office, and Blender even though the workplace had me chained to the Windows.

First Arch was Antergos. First Arch I actually use daily is Arcolinux.

I “started” with Debian 3 back in 2002 (?)
I did not have the time to invest in making everything work (modem, mainly).
First real usage was with Linux Mint about a decade later. Lots and lots of distro hopping.
Dove into Arch a few years ago and have not looked back. Tried Antergos and Manjaro.
Good distros but I am sticking with ArcoLinux as my daily driver since I have decided to really learn the inner workings of Linux.

Now if I can just stop desktop environment hopping!

Some years ago I started some tests with Suse but was frustrated by the differentiated setup procedure really fast.

When the migration from Win7 to Win10 begun and their patches more and more silently started to fetch telemetry data, I decided to migrate. First and easy was Ubuntu -> Studio -> Mate -> Linux Mint currently.

After the 32bit support discussion started on Ubuntu, I started to test other Linux OS. First Arch-like was Manjaro, then Namib and after some Deepin OS testing I lately found the way to ArcoLinuxB - Deepin DE.
