[INFO]Laptop lock screen after suspend

Post by TheWanderer » Thu Feb 22, 2018 7:26 pm

I had a little problem, my laptop didn't lock the screen when it wake up from suspend, now I found the solution. To lock the screen on suspend do the following.

First of all you need a file in /etc/systemd/system/

Code: Select all

sudo nano /etc/systemd/system/lock.service
Now add the following entries

Code: Select all

Description=Lock the screen on resume from suspend

Warning: Change your username in the file, else it won't work.

And last enable this service.

Code: Select all

sudo systemctl enable lock.service
Now it should work.

Thanks! The XFCE Power Manager locking function doesn't work quite right, but this was an immediate fix (after disabling the XFCE PM setting). :D
