[OPEN] Orhto4XP how to install python packages

Post by Stevo61 » Sat Feb 15, 2020 5:52 am

Hi all,
I'm an X-Plane flight simmer and use a python program called Ortho4XP to generate orthophoto scenery. It requires a number of packages to do its job. I can install most on Arco but not these, I get a not found error:
python3-pil.imagetk
p7zip-full
libnvtt-bin
freeglut3

I'm running the latest ArcolinuxD release with Budgie (and loving it). I'm an average joe user, not a programmer, so please explain like I'm five

Thanks for any tips you can offer.
Cheers
Steve

Where can we find this application?

Hi Erik, I've linked to the Ortho4XP github in the OP.

Since it is a github. Can you ask help from the developer?

Thanks Erik, I appreciate your time. I can try. Oscar (the dev) includes instructions for debian-based distros which works fine, everything installs with apt. I'm wondering how debian-based is different from Arch-based for these particular packages? Does Arch put python packages in different locations? Or are they missing from the repos?
