[OPEN] Surface 4 Arcolinux

Post by spatial25 » Sun Dec 01, 2019 7:00 pm

Hey everybody,

I have a Microsoft Surface 4 running Arcolinux. The only problem is the touch screen does not work. I was running Arch linux before and used dmhacker's kernel on github and it made the touchscreen work. I tried installing the kernel into Arco linux but had no luck. I attached a link to dmhacker's kernel.

https://github.com/dmhacker/arch-linux-surface

I know the capability is there but this is beyond my green developer skills. If anyone can work with me please PM me. I'll send logs and whatever I need to.

Thanks,
rj

We have touchscreen available via xorg.

So I know it is working just fine....

However you are working on a microsoft device.

Some googling

It can be done - that is a gut feeling
