SOLVED: How to get rid of info at terminal startup?

Post by shashi »

The terminal displays a lot of information at startup, and it's all unnecessary.

How do I get rid of it?

I think you mean 'neofetch', you can tweak it: https://arcolinux.com/how-to-tweak-your ... scii-logo/
Or remove it with pamac or: pacman -Rns <name>

Thanks very much indeed.

It's not only the logo but all the stuff at the side of it: the wm, the de, the version, the uptime, all that stuff. It's difficult to imagine a regular command-line user who needs that stuff every time the terminal comes up.

I'll try neofetch and get back to you.

Thanks once again.

Neofetch is exactly what's required.

Thanks indeed.
