I was not expecting an iso specifically built and written for VMWare. No other Linux distribution writes iso's specifically for use in a VM environment, whether it is VMWare or VirtualBox, it makes no difference. You just download your iso for the distribution you want to install, boot into it, no matter whether you are using VMWare or VirtualBox software, and do the install. After watching the video, this is amazing to me, and is the first time I have seen a distribution specifically designed to NOT work in a specific virtual environment. I can understand not supporting installation in a particular VM environment, but I do not understand actually blocking such an installation. This should be made clear to potential users as there are plenty who install all the various distributions and use them in virtual environments, both VMWare and VirtualBox.

Thanks for your responses to my questions, I wish you well with your work.

We are not blocking anything. Vmware brought it on themselves.

Vmware works now (if you built it)
Virtualbox works
Gnome boxes works
Qemu works
...

Vmware must have changed and hence it does not boot up anymore in 21.03.
Our script worked fine on 21.01.

Next release 21.05 Vmware will work again since we have removed the script to get vmware to show a full screen display and not 800x600.
Now it will be back to the small resolution.

I went through the build your own iso process, it was quite easy. It booted, installed, and configured just fine, all is well. Thanks again for your help.
