[OPEN] Anyone running 19.03 and if yes, is Timeshift working?

Hey gang, A few months ago, I've installed ArchLinux and all in all, once it actually installed properly, it was smooth sailing. Can someone confirm if Timeshift is running on a new ArchLinux 19.03 install? If yes, then I will probably re-install because I made a bit of a mess with the jack audio se...

Re: What alternatives are there besides the google giant?

Sadly, google is now the enemy of the (poor) startup. My alternative is duckduckgo which I use on my cell phones as well as on the machines here in the office. Unfortunately, google is still needed to check the ranking of blog posts etc plus, they own YouTube which is another issue altogether. Thank...

Re: [SOLVED] Settings > Privilege Granting (tool) ???

Thanks Eric,
I just wanted to know if it's part of the distro or not and am glad that I can ignore it.

Btw, ArcoLinux is rock solid and by far the best distro for productive people. I never had a dependable SAMBA setup until now. :)

[SOLVED] Settings > Privilege Granting (tool) ???

Hi,
I noticed a new entry under Settings > Privilege Granting

I tried and search for more info and couldn't find anything.
Is this a legit addition? - v

Re: [OPEN] Timeshift is not creating automated backups. Cron?

Bump! I have a hard time believing that no one here is running Timeshift? I found a "work-around" and would prefer it to simply just function as it does with other distros (set and forget). Anyone??? Supplemental info: I just run a standard XFCE desktop with the current updates. Timeshift is set to...

Re: [STICKY] Share your desktops of ArcoLinuxB Xfce

Hi Eric,
A few weeks ago, I looked at all the icon options and everything looked right.
After I decided on Surfn Mint X Grey, I deleted several of the icon families and kept only a few if they had dependencies or were fallback options. -v

Re: [STICKY] Share your desktops of ArcoLinuxB Xfce

A simple and clean dual 4K monitor setup. XFCE is able to handle dual screen wallpapers. Until I discovered ArcoLinux by accident, I always stuck to KDE distros. Now, XFCE is my number one. As far as setups go, it's the best I've ever had.

Re: [SOLVED] Plasma boots without Menu/start button

Interesting! The other day when Timeshift wasn't behaving I thought to give good old Plasma another try. Since then, the issue has become manageable and XFCE is here to stay unless the Wacom tablet acts up (fingers crossed). I found hblock trough that video and just added it to both machines. NICE! :)

Re: [OPEN] Timeshift is not creating automated backups. Cron?

UPDATE! I just created a "daily" snapshot via command line. sudo timeshift --check Amazingly, that created a backup with the long desired "D" in the tags category. This solves the space issue as the daily backups will hopefully overwrite themselves after the set quantity of two is reached. If no bet...
